UK Safety Camera Network Ltd is a mission-led CCTV company providing system design, installation, maintenance, upgrades, legacy-system support and independent design consultancy.
We help homeowners, businesses and organisations obtain practical CCTV systems designed around genuine risks, not unnecessary equipment. Every recommendation considers what needs protecting, how an incident is likely to occur and where cameras will provide the most useful coverage.
The idea began with an alleyway near our founder’s home. While reviewing local CCTV footage, it became clear that people involved in criminal activity frequently used the alleyway because it was a significant blind spot with no effective camera coverage.
That raised a simple question: if one missing camera could leave an entire route unprotected, how many similar gaps existed elsewhere?
Rather than accepting the blind spot, we decided to build a solution. What began as an idea for improving coverage in one alleyway developed into the UK Safety Camera Network, a wider mission to create transparent, proportionate and responsibly operated community CCTV coverage.
Alongside the community network, we provide professional CCTV services to homes, businesses and organisations. Customers retain control of their own systems, while we provide the design, equipment, installation and ongoing technical support required to keep them effective.
Our approach is based on careful camera placement, appropriate equipment and clear documentation. We aim to achieve useful coverage without installing more cameras—or creating more cost—than the situation reasonably requires.
The community camera network is provided without charging participating hosts for the cameras, installation or routine maintenance. Operating it still requires equipment, skilled labour, insurance, administration and continuing technical support.
Our commercial services help meet those costs. After operating expenses and staff costs have been paid, profits are reinvested into the company and its public-safety mission. This supports new community cameras, maintenance of existing sites, improved equipment and the systems required to operate the network responsibly.
Customers therefore receive a professional CCTV service while also helping us expand community safety infrastructure.
A single well-positioned camera can remove one blind spot. A coordinated network of responsibly positioned cameras can provide continuity across a wider area.
As suitable locations join the network, its usefulness increases. Each additional camera can improve coverage, strengthen the evidence available following an incident and reduce the gaps between existing viewpoints.
Our aim is not to place cameras everywhere without justification. It is to build thoughtful coverage where a genuine need has been identified, with privacy, proportionality and public accountability built into the process.
CCTV carries significant responsibility. Our work is guided by clear purposes, proportionate coverage, privacy-conscious positioning, appropriate retention, controlled access and documented decision-making.
